After some great trivia night showings, including a 1st place trivia finish our last time out, we’ve decided to try our hand at music bingo night. There’s plenty of studies done that show how nostalgia strengthens social connects and creates a sense of belonging. If you missed out on the Our Town brewery Disney trivia event, you have a second chance to attend! Southern Market is hosting their own Disney trivia event.

Trivia starts at 7PM, but try to come around 6:30 PM, so you can meet your trivia teammates. Great first event opportunity if you’ve never made it out to one. Trivia is a collaborative experience with a lot of the social interaction built into the event. Don’t worry if you aren’t a Disney expert. Great opportunity to make new friends!

Starting Friday the 14th at 4pm, the town will be glistening with freshly carved ice sculptures, and we’ll be ready to show it off. Take a stroll, shop the shops, eat at our local restaurants, and see the sculptures. You can watch carvers work throughout the day on Friday and by night Big Boy Brass Band will be filling the streets with music!

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America for three years running and I am absolutely obsessed with it. It’s truly a game for all ages and one that fosters great sportsmanship and community. RCW shares our values regarding community building and is a fantastic indoor venue.

RCW will be providing us with instructors on site who will be helping out beginner players for anyone who is looking for: instruction on how to play, a quick re-fresher, or tips on how to step up your game. The instructs will do a one hour lesson from 7-8PM. The instructional is completely optional. If you are a veteran player and want to get to playing right away; we will have courts for match play set up for the full three hour duration.

The RCW yearly pickleball membership was one of the best decisions I made when I moved out here. I’ve met some great people through their Thursday and Sunday night open play. If you have a blast at the pickleball party, I’d absolutely encourage you to sign up for a yearly membership through their website. It’s $59 for the year & then $12 per open session to play in a weather-proof indoor facility. It’s the perfect rainy day backup plan for those who enjoy playing on the outdoor courts in the community.
