New Years Eve Party at Loxleys

Event cost: Free, but you’re on your own for food and drinks.

Kitchen closes at 11PM. Please rsvp through one of these formats: Instagram (or Facebook) comment on the event, Instagram (or Facebook) DM, RSVP on Meetup.com, or by emailing me at meetpeoplelancaster@yahoo.com. We need to keep the venue in the loop with our headcount for the night. They are providing us with free indoor space on NYE. Let’s thank them with an accurate headcount, and please buy some food and drinks if you have some budget for it. Remember to tip your servers!

Message us through instagram, facebook or meetup if you’d be interested in grabbing dinner together at Loxleys’s. We’ll do a dinner event there and then the NYE party right after.

FAQ: What does the button get me?
First and foremost, the button shows that you are a generous person who donated $10 to charity. A side benefit is that all of our participating bars have agreed to waive their cover charge for anyone wearing the button. But keep in mind, this is a CHARITY event. Some bars don't charge anyone a cover that night, so depending where you go, you might not get any monetary value out of the button. But you can't put a price on the warmth your will feel in your heart from helping support these great charities 😜

Music Bingo @ Stoner Grille - Hosted by Shaun

After some great trivia night showings, including a 1st place trivia finish our last time out, we’ve decided to try our hand at music bingo night. There’s plenty of studies done that show how nostalgia strengthens social connects and creates a sense of belonging. And I can’t think of many things more nostalgic than listening to songs you used to jam out that you haven’t heard in years.

Trivia starts at 7:30 PM, but let’s meet at 7PM so we can mingle a bit before the trivia starts. Come on out and make some new friends and let’s see if we can take home another trivia title together!

New to golf? Or looking to improve your swing?

Ira Kramer is a member of the Professional Golf Teachers Association of America and a 35 year member of the PGA of America (from 1987-2022). He comes from a long line of PGA Golf Professionals as both his father and brother were PGA Golf Professionals. In 2018, Ira became the Teaching Professional at Sea Oaks Country Club in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. After the Covid pandamic Ira moved back to his home town Lancaster, Pennsylvania accepting the position at Overlook Golf Course as the Teaching Professional.

Ira will be instructing on on the driving range at Overlook. I’ll create a groupme for this one, so you can find the spot on the driving range where our group is setting up.

Pickleball social @ RCW

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America for three years running and I am absolutely obsessed with it. It’s truly a game for all ages and one that fosters great sportsmanship and community. RCW shares our values regarding community building and is a fantastic indoor venue.

RCW will be providing us with trained instructors on site who will be helping out beginner players for anyone who is looking for: instruction on how to play, a quick re-fresher, or tips on how to step up your game.

There is a 100 person maximum on this event. Don’t delay on getting your ticket. Put this one on your calendar and secure your spot today.

Here’s the link to sign up for the event: https://app.courtreserve.com/Online/Public/EmbedCode/7013/21894/925718?orgLayout=true

$25/person
Register by Monday, November 25th!

TO REGISTER: You will need to click the CREATE ACCOUNT button above (unless you have played at RCW previously). When creating your account, you may choose the Free Nonmember Account option. Once your account is created, you will click on the Events/Register button > Categories > Pickleball Special Events. Be sure to finalize and pay in order to submit your registration. If you run into any issues registering for this event, please contact us at frontdesk@rcwathleticclub.com or call (717)-299-5631.

The RCW yearly pickleball membership was one of the best decisions I made when I moved out here. I’ve met some great people through their Thursday and Sunday night open play. If you have a blast at the pickleball party, I’d absolutely encourage you to sign up for a yearly membership through their website. It’s $59 for the year & then $12 per open session to play in a weather-proof indoor facility. It’s the perfect rainy day backup plan for those who enjoy playing on the outdoor courts in the community.

Kick off the holiday season at Lancaster City's Christmas Tree Lighting! We'll meet up as a group, but feel free to wander around downtown to enjoy the various activities. Join the GroupMe chat to get updates on the group's location! There are a lot of street closures and large crowds so I'll pick a meet-up spot near Penn Square and post in the chat! The event is from 5-8pm, but we'll go somewhere close to grab drinks afterwards.

Eagles Watch Party @ Lucky Dog

Fly Eagle Fly! Got the Cowboys this week - Get there around 4PM

I’m a glass half full guy, so I’m putting this event on in hopes that we can watch the Eagles win in community this season. The realist in me is wondering if these watch parties may just turn into weekly group therapy if the run defense doesn’t improve quickly though. Either way, we’ll be providing you with a quality service here.

We’ll be in the outdoor canopy area. Weather will be around 60 degrees and they have heat lamps out there in the covered patio area.

Location: Lucky Dog Cafe

1942 Columbia Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603

Time: Kickoff is at 4:20PM. We’ll be there at 4PM, so you can get settled in with food and drinks before kickoff.

Stop Light Party @ BierHall Brewing Company

Stop Light Party @ BierHall Brewing Company

FEATURED EVENT FOR NOVEMBER:

This is the cocktail mixer you won’t want to miss!

What’s a stoplight party? It’s a party where you wear your relationship status on your sleave…quite literally. Here’s how it works.

Single? Wear Green

In a “situationship” / it’s complicated and you’re keeping your options open? Wear yellow.

In a committed relationship? Wear red.

Everyone still mingles with everyone. Focus is still on making friends, but sometimes it’s nice to take some of the ambiguity out and let people know your status if there’s anyone you’re curious about. These events were beloved by my previous social club in Chicago. I’m confident they will be a hit out here too.

Music Bingo @ Stoner Grille

Music Bingo @ Stoner Grille

After some great trivia night showings, including a 1st place trivia finish our last time out, we’ve decided to try our hand at music bingo night. There’s plenty of studies done that show how nostalgia strengthens social connects and creates a sense of belonging. And I can’t think of many things more nostalgic than listening to songs you used to jam out that you haven’t heard in years.

Trivia starts at 7:30 PM, but let’s meet at 7PM so we can mingle a bit before the trivia starts. Come on out and make some new friends and let’s see if we can take home another trivia title together!

Host: Jim Murray

Location: Stoner Grille 605 Granite Run Dr, Lancaster, PA 17601

Time: 7PM
